Who We Are
Garages Plus ADU was built by two brothers raised right here in the Pacific Northwest. Ben attended the University of Washington and later worked at Amazon, while Matt worked swing shifts at the Tacoma paper mill alongside our father. Those experiences taught us the value of hard work, sacrifice, and taking pride in building something meaningful.
Construction and real estate have always been part of our family story. Our father remodeled more than 300 homes throughout Tacoma and built over 20 housing units in the Hilltop neighborhood to help provide affordable housing for working families. Today, we proudly continue that vision through Garages Plus ADU by creating high-quality garages, ADUs, DADUs, and living spaces designed to add value and opportunity for homeowners across the Pacific Northwest.
Our roots here run deep. The Gleason, Gray, Brotherson, and White families have been part of Washington since statehood in 1889. One of our ancestors, William D. “Billy” Gleason, helped fire the cannon in Tacoma celebrating Washington becoming a state — a legacy of community, craftsmanship, and pride we still carry today.
